Nokia Amp Model and Specs?
I've spent all night searching and reading posts with keywords "nokia" and "amp" and "model", and got nowhere. So now I post a general appeal:
Does anyone know the Nokia model and/or the input and output specs, on the Nokia amp installed in a '97 993 C2 Cab with Hi-Fi system (non-DSP w/ 8-spkrs)?
If you have one you've taken out of your car, could you look at all sides of the unit and tell me about (or send photos of) any stickers, nameplates, etc... ANY info would be greatly appreciated!
I'm trying to assemble as complete a compilation of info on the above car's audio system as I can, and its driving me crazy that I can't find anything on the amp.
If I've missed these answers in existing threads, then my apologies - I couldn't find them through the search utility... please point me in the right direction and I can do the rest on my own.
Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks guy!! Every little bit helps.
The picture of the interior shows your amp is different from mine, x50Type: on my amp, the 8-pin DIN connector is to the left of the 25-pin TYCO connector. Is yours a DSP Hi-Fi with 10 speakers? Wait a minute... did you take off the bottom plate of the amp and flip it over so I'm looking at the innards from the bottom side? That would explain the reversal entirely.
When you took the plate off to expose the insides, was there, perhaps, a data sheet or block schematic diagram sticker on the inside of the plate? I've never come across such a "black box" as this thing. The circuitry shows pretty basic design so there doesn't seem to be many secret technologies hidden in there: big power transistors attached to case heat-sink; big electrolytic caps on the transistors; nicely organized groupings of then-standard components; mostly or all non-surface mount technology.
Anyway, sure appreciate the input - its moves me forward.

Three Wheelin'
Yes, hi-fi 10 speaker.
When assembled the components are up-side-down.
There is no schematic on the inside of the cover.
The solenoid was not operating on mine - reason unknown, hence no radio. Changed it all out.

In all the years I've never found any spec details on either of the 2 Nokia amplifiers; That's with or without DSP. Agreed, a basic audio amplifier design nicely laid out.

Late to the party but thought I would add this for anyone searching for specs on the Nokia hifi amp. After much searching it occurred to me that the original 993 sales brochures might give stereo specs... Sure enough, it says the hifi system is 6 channels at 25 watts (into 10 speakers, or 8 for cabs):

Noika (both Std & DSP ver) output details ...
Thanks Bcameron59-
A nice weekend stroll down memory lane reviewing the original 993 prospectus, again. ( I read the order option sheet so many times.... my wife chimed in, "order the dam car already. Even I know the options details, paint codes!" You're going to order silver anyway... )
I recall the dealership sales personnel not having a clue of the new 993's HiFi option spec's. Read the brochure ...... ! Many of the early MY95 market rollout 993's had the #490 HiFi speaker option.
"6 X 25 ch/wattage output my foot ......" PAG/Noika .. what marketing BS.
From a earlier post / thread titled ....Speaker fitment for HiFi option.11-16-10 ....
Post #15 ...... "Both options external amplification utilize a "of the day" Phillips TDA 1552q IC (approx. 12w RMS @ 4ohm @ch 20hz -15khz in a BTL Class B arrangement, THD 0.5% @ 13.2v) Providing mediocre sonic's even for the early '90's decade time frame.
However the #490 HiFi speaker option can be salvaged using many of todays "off the shelf" components for enhancements."

Interesting, though I suspect you may have a typo - the 12 watts is actually 22 watts per the spec sheets, but still seems like a flagrant case of "rounding up" on the specs...

BTW Mike, what did you end up doing for your setup? Looks like you were experimenting with different speaker options as well as DSP, did you find a final config that you liked / would recommend?
I'm on the threshold of an upgrade and during my research most of what I've seen are 2-way component speakers for the front, but this leaves the problem of what to do with the 3" midsize speaker / aperture in the hifi door setup.

22W output 10% distortion ... is a misleading real world operation spec.
Hey Brian -
IIRC the 3rd page of the Phillips spec sheet gives a lesser output (15w or something) 20hz-15Khz bandwidth, 4 ohm load, a more usable 1% THD level @ 14.4 volts.
Nope, no typo as the spec reads 10% THD distortion, sure 22w "Peak" output.. Its a class B to boot .... crummy noisy character for a HiFi application. The 1990's ... those were the 12V days.
