I would have gone with a complementary color to the exterior or the interior
Agreed.
Love that color Looks like luggage to me.

As per Singer, you are correct. While it's really cool to look at, I'm also kind of "meh." A little too "touring" for me.

Because I know next to nothing about the 964, I'll defer to your expertise here Ken. What couldn't they get out? I'm thinking maybe the tunnel? I know you see more "bits" than I do.

I got to hang with the Singer 911 & its support crew last night.

I LUVed the car. For many more of my personal photos posted last night, plus ClassicDriver.com's news article today, click here:

Thanks to Gordon McCall, yesterday I enjoyed hanging out with Singer 911's Rob Dickinson again, plus teammates John & Dorian.
I hope to cross paths with RL's Maz & Chad, too

Remember, I was in the Porsche business at 23. Easy to get first hand experience on how to over extend. Like chasing down guys to get paid when they'd come up with every excuse and then some so you'd keep working on their race car/modify their 930. Not exactly why I bailed on the business to go to law school, but let's say I had a slight clue how to work collections and judgment enforcement when I got there...........

Insider Scoop:
The most recent built 911's will show off newest options..
Singer Fitted Luggage, Singer carbon fiber racing seats, Interior paneling and more to come.. keep an eye out..

Yes they tend to be a bit on the touring side, but that's what these customers seem to prefer.. We've internally been dying to build a Clubsport spec which will in turn show even more options! ...or less depending on how you look at it..

Love the "Singer Blue", the carbon racing seats look cool, but so do their regular "Recaro" style seats which I suspect would be more comfortable for touring. The luggage looks great - too good to actually use. Looking forward to the next build (and the next one...)

The interior has a bit of a poseur vibe w/ the paneling to create the look of a bare tub interior, but you know there's plenty of insulation and what not underneath that faux paneling.

Exactly! That's the whole point!

The paneling was created to give the feel and vibe of the early racers with acceptable noise levels. We use very high quality sound deadening material.. expensive and lightweight..
