I knew I would hear that about selling the CS and keeping the 993; however, we have a tradition in my family where we keep our first Pcar. My Dad still has his 1971 914 - it was his first car and his first Pcar. I figure Ill park it next to my CS someday.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
JonSnow - I just drove thru Dubuque a couple weeks ago in my CS on the way to Milwaukee. Ran into someone I think is a PCA member driving an early red Targa...know who it is??

Well, tomorrow is going to be a sad day
Pending a PPI today, the next owner just got his tickets to fly in to Des Moines tomorrow and pick up my car....definitely going to be a sad day. The car was listed less than a week.
The pending owner is a 'lister and will enjoy driving it back home to Tennessee. Ill let him detail the rest after everything is final.
I will mark it final when it happens, but until then, I will be in mourning.

Congrats on the sale! Hope everything goes smoothly.
Off topic, but can you recommend a good shop in Des Moines to do an oil change? My car is in town for a few months while I suffer through some muggy Georgia fieldwork, and I'd like to have my carsitter take it in sometime in the next few months. If you see my black C4S buzzing around (or, more likely, hear the Fister III's...), give it a wave.
Appreciate any help. Sorry for your loss...

New owner flew in from Tennessee with his wife Saturday morning and was headed home an hour later. It is always a nice compliment when the buyer says the car is even better than he could have imagined. I will miss the car, but I will stick around the forum because Ill still be tinkering with my friends turquoise blue 993 that was one VIN number from mine

Kent,
Congrats on the "official" sale. Hope to see you back someday. Until then I will see you on Ragrai when we come though Des Moines in a couple weeks.

I actually came very close a few times during my search to pulling the trigger on a few 987.1 Cayman's. I think they're just gorgeous, the new one hasn't quite grown on me yet. Glad you've got at least one pcar in the stable, always time for another 993 down the road.
