This Guards Red MY98 C2S w/Tiptronic offered on Ebay shows a tippy console shifter, yet has a non-tiptronic steering wheel fitted. Luv to hear the story behind that . . . .

I could be wrong but iirc only the Tiptronic S tranny option comes with steering wheel mounted shift buttons.

Car is pristine!

I remembered the window sticker on my previous 97 993 Tip says Tiptronic S with steering wheel control.
Any Tip owners out there confirm this?

I know that all 964 Tips did not have the steering wheel buttons as I looked a few way back when. I'm not sure about 993's. I too thought it was an "S" option but may be wrong. My 993 S Tip has the steering wheel buttons.

FWIW, did some looking and found option 249 = 4-Speed Tip transmission, and option 432 = steering wheel control buttons for 993s. Option 432 not available in the 964s.
