Hopefully no one was hurt. Sad picture. Best of luck with insurance and getting back into a 993.

How awful. Was it the Unichip/supercharger installation?

Wow, that is awful. Hope you are safe - I am sure it happened really quickly.

Interesting that the rear tires nor bumper seems to have much damage, I guess it was all on the upper side of the engine, but hot enough to blow out the back window and light up the interior. Wow, that looks pretty scary!

It sounds like you are ok.... but sorry to see the damage on your 993.

Wow, just saw the pix of the fire damage. I feel your pain.

My guess is a fuel leak that got to heat source. How long has your car been driven since the install? I have had my TPC unit on for quite a few years and have put on maybe 20k miles with no issues. I would do it again because I love the extra power and torque.

I had the 1st generation SC on the car for 12 years drove over 15k. About Jan 2012 I upgraded to the new 7th & 8th injectors and intercooler/ Unichip and the car hasn't been the same since.
