Default Big ups for Gert!

Isn't he fantastic to deal with Such a classy fella. I recently ordered a complete 993 GT2 body kit (front OEM bumper, front splitter, rear spoiler and fender flares) What I want to know is that I couldn't find a completed or converted body done on a 993 on the forum here. He assured me the fender flares are exactly the same with the street going original GT2, but some suppliers do it differently than the original look (i.e. where the flares meet and stick out from the lower skirts)
Could anyone help out with some photos of the finished bodies? Highly appreciated!

Gert is great to deal with. I think he invented customer service. He is also a very long time supporter of Rennlist.

You see the difference in OEM look bodykit and other suppliers kit. Gert assured me his kit was an exact OEM look but the attached files he sent to me left me uncertain. There is a difference in where the lower flares meet the skirts, the OEM sticks out a bit and the front pieces stick out as well. Thats the reason why I asked if anyone had a kit from him installed and finished photos.

This is the flares kit photo he's sent to me. The above files I found on the web for comparison. The kit looks a bit 'short' compared to the OEM look, what do you reckon?

Could it be that the car in the first picture has different side skirts that line up with the flares?

You are right. I must have missed that But still, looking for completed conversion of parts supplied by Gert, please.

My guess is that the angle of the photo gives the appearance that the flares are short. Because of the outward curve of the flare, it is hard to imagine where the higher end of the flare sits with respect to the lowest part of the flare.

If the picture was taken directly above the flares, I don't think you would be wondering about the short/tall fitment, but you might be wondering if the flares were the proper width.

Hope this helps.

The 1st car doesnt have an OE front so the extensions arent likely to be OE either!

That's exactly what I was thinking, but still it might be the angle. I guess waiting 7-10 days won't be too rough. Thanks!

I think you have the correct parts, the side skirts are retained in the OEM GT2 street version, so no need for new side skirts.

I also must say I'm really impressed with the level of customer service that Gert provides. I've had two issues recently where he stepped up as you would not have expected from a "normal" seller. I will be taking my business to him in the future for sure . No affiliation.

bumping this up..does anyone know the source for the GT2 type splitter on the blue GT2 looker?

I'm thinking of adding the GT2 front splitter and rear wing , but I want to keep my euro turbo front bumper.

As a follow up question...does the GT2 front splitter only fit the NB bumpercover? Or does it match up to the turbo cover also...?

Also, besides looking for a needle in the haystack used pieces, who besides Getty, Gert, Better Bodies, and Ma Shaw, sells these pieces?

Still edumacating myself about their various levels of quality...or lack thereof.

Any heads up, either on the thread, or via pm...would be much appreciated.

Joe,

Only fits the NB cover, but saying that - there is NO difference in width between the Front NB and WB cover - only the look.

This actually was an FVD piece at one stage too, and they are stateside.

Simon.
