Just one question...when you go to this depth on detailing the paint, with the sealant they use, how long can you expect it to last before the same spyder webs and haze lines start to reappear? Don't get me wrong, the car looks fantastic, but so does mine after a $300.00 exterior detail done locally...just wondering?

I struggled with the best way to explain my emotions around this thread.....
1- sort of a pride like when i see my 8 year old beat his personal best in a swim meet...so happy to see the new owner take my OCD to an entirely new level.... i have paid $1k for 993 details previously, and i thought i needed professional help...you, my friend, are officially initiated into the fraternity of madness...welcome
AND
2- like seeing a girlfriend that was average to good in highschool that I dumped for some other flash thing that came along...then seeing her years later on the cover of Sports Illustrated....

With a proper washing and drying technique, and the use of good products, the spider webs and swirls can be kept to a very low minimum.
For a $300 exterior detail, I doubt they are doing any paint correction (polishing). Certainly not a 2 or 3 stage process. Maybe at best they are doing a 1 stage process. Your swirls, scratches, webs and haze is not really being removed, but more or less "filled". Results like this don't have near as long of staying power because the filler just wears out over time, exposure and repeat washings. Once that happends, bam, the swirls mark is back.
The key is a proper paint correction (polishing) and a final coat of protection. Then proper feeding and nutrition to extend the results.

Another $200ish for the PDR.
Another $200ish for the stone chips and nicks.
<$1,200 for the wrap.

First let me say that I appreciate the words mrsullivan. Glad to make you proud. To the others, I can tell you that they had the car for a couple weeks. But I asked them to take their time so... I don't expect the haze lines to come back but I must admit that I know about what you know. I guess we'll see. I will say that I also spend $300 on typical details and those are good to do several times per year. But this project intended to remove the imperfections vs masking them with wax. So, there was some work put into polishing them out of the clearcoat. And yes, about half the cost was associated with the protective films covering approximately half the car.
Finally, let me just say how fun it is to know other people out there are as crazy about these cars as I am.

OP, I'd love to see this car in person and meet another PCar enthusiast. . Meet me at Vivace on a dry day and I'll buy or if your interested in meeting a group I've started a thread labeled "PacNW Meet Up"
