Default Goodbye...

A big thank you to all the rennlisters that I have had the pleasure of knowing for the past decade.

As painful as it was, I traded in the 96 993 C4S for a 08 Z06. I wish I could have both as they are very different beasts. As much as I will miss the 993, I'm really enjoying the Z06.

Thanks for all the help over the years, Rennlist has been a great community and I will miss it.

Goodbye,
Sachin

You will be back, just a question of time really. I have other sport cars and I can state with perfect cetainty that the 993 will stay with me.

Youll still hang around here from time to time. Enjoy the Corvette!

Sachin-- You & your C4S made an impression on me from the moment I started surfing RL years ago.

I've worshipped your beautiful Arena Red WB from afar, while enjoying your posts about your supercharger, your 3D printer, & your son's drawings.
Speaking of family, it was great when you shared that your parents were found safely after disappearing during a horrible storm in Waveland, MS.
Have fun, & drive safe - you'll be missed

Sachin,

Certainly enjoyed reading your posts over the years. Good luck with the new beast. Those things look great and have to be a blast to drive.

Best wishes to you and the roads you take!!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll still drop in from time to time. I guess I just needed a change of scenery but I already miss the 993!

Here's the new beast!

As someone who moved from an 07 C6 Vette to 997, you need one of each.

I did a Bondurant course in Z06 and found the Vette as controlable as the Pcar. I do prefer the overall "harmony" of the Pcar though.

One of each, tell your wife I said it was ok. js

I just gotta ask...considering you had such an apparently well known supercharged C4S...in Arena Red no less...why did you trade it in, and not offer it up here on rennlist first?

I mean no disrespect, but keeping it in the "family" so to speak, just seems like the best thing to do. If the $$...sales tax reduction per trade in value worked out that is.

Some might like to know where the car is now available for sale also.

As a side note, I have a childhood friend who bought an 06 Z06. Had 2600 mies on it when he bought it last year. Older gentleman who owned it, went to a CTS-V IIRC.

Anyway, Turner Motorsport in Rochester, NY does a stroker kit for it, long tube headers, intake magic etc. Wow, what a lumpy idle...almost 700 ft lbs of torque as I remember.

At least you get to keep the 993 in your avatar!!!!

FWIW: I had a new 2008 C6 convertible for 4 years before selling it and eventually getting the 993C4S i currently drive as a second car. The corvette was amazing. Power in spades, great handling, brakes and comfortable. I was getting a little nervous with how fast the car made me want to drive it and am happier where I am now. If you end up in the same predicament (insane speeds on public roads) take it to a track. I will be back in a corvette some day but it will be a coupe. And, I will never sell my 993.

Enjoy!!!
