Rear Bumper repair and respray
Hi, I had some dings and one good lump with lousy repair. What can I expect to pay for a black car?
TIA

I had a "pushin" bump on the lower part of bumper (below the tail lights). The local body shop was able to "pull out" the dent, then lower the lower clip without removing it from car - to respray and not worry about getting overspray on the rest of the car.
Repair cost only $300 or so. My car is midnight blue. You can't tell it was fixed.

We had a bad experience at a local big shop affiliated with a dealer with a customer's car going way over budget. Word got around and a guy showed with a business card and a good attitude so I pulled the bumper off after he gave me an estimate of $350. He just called and the bumper cover had more cracks near exhaust outlets and the "bumps" required more work,,,yada, yada and now we are up to $600? Since he hounded me so much I knew he was not busy so I thought I might catch a deal for my personal car....Given the responses, as long as the work is good, I will not flip out.

Also, if you look at my avatar, you can see the right corner has some kind of crappy repair attempt. It was rough and looked like crap so I went for it...now I will want the whole damn car painted...Grr!

Has anyone painted rear bumperettes to match black car?
In other colors I am sure it looks good..but black? Is it worth the trouble?

The plastic bumper covers are tough to repair, minor blemishes that are just in the paint are repairable but if the plastic has been permanently deformed it's almost impossible to fix, a new bumper is tres expensive

Had front and rear (which needed minor repair) bumpers done by a well respected shop for $350 per.
