Default FS: 97 993 C2S black/black 6 speed $50,993

1997 Carrera C2S
Price: $50,993
Black/Black
Six Speed gearbox

Time to move on…up for sale is my 97 993 C2S. I’ve found a new mistress, another longhood; but this time it’s a project. I’m in the process of buying a 72 911 that will involve a complete restoration/rebuild into a semi bad-*** hot rod.
Photos need to be updated, they were taken shortly after I got the car but I wanted to get the ad going. And sorry they are so dang big, I dont know how to make them smaller. I will hopefully get new interior/exterior shots this weekend and add them later. Suffice to say, the stance is lower, the front end looks great and the aluminum parts finish the interior nicely.

Code Option Description
235 Porsche approved tyres Bridgestone N2 or Pirelli N2
329 'Radio - ? New CDR 220. Code 9094
408 18" Technology Design Wheels [1996]
437 Comfort seat left
438 Comfort seat right
454 Automatic speed control
490 Hi-Fi sound system
650 Sunroof
692 Remote CD changer (6-disc)
C02 Equipped with catalytic converter

I have done several of the popular modifications/upgrade to the car that we all discuss on this forum in great detail. In my view, they greatly enhance the car’s handling, sound, and style.
Bilstein PSS 10 ($4,318)
Fister RS SSK and golden rod ($446, +install include in the work above)
Fister Stage II mufflers ($550)
HID lights ($75)
Aluminum shifter and e-brake handle ($700)
Turbo S ducts, bumperettes delete, Hella micro DL's, clear euro side markers ( $2,975 total)
CDR 220 w/ iPod input ($1,000)
Ruf stainless steel pedal set ($350)

Total: $10,414 (don’t tell my wife!)

The car has 57,xxx miles on it, it’s a six speed gearbox, black/black. Paint and interior are in excellent condition, the car is always garage kept (home and office). It is used as a weekend cruiser and I occasionally take it to the office. I bought the car 2.5 years ago from TruSpeed in Costa Mesa. It had a PPI from the dealership TruSpeed purchased the car from dated 6-17-2010 (41,038 miles) The car had a good PPI with only a few minor items needing attention which TruSpeed or I did.

There were no maintenance records when I got the car just the service book which was stamped by the dealerships that performed the required services. Since I’ve owned the car I’ve maintained it at my local independent Porsche shop and have taken proper care of the car. I have replaced the upper and lower valve cover gaskets to cure an oil leak, changed spark plugs (needed to after I failed a CA smog test) and of course, routine oil changes etc. I also just replaced the battery and purchased new tires (Hankook Ventus V12’s).

Needs: The car needs a new clutch which I will do prior to the sale (the guy who was looking at my car was considering a lightweight flywheel and clutch, so I haven’t done the work yet. I would also credit the price of a new clutch if you are a DYI guy and are so inclined. I will put an original clutch with the DMF in the car, per original spec.) Nothing else is really pressing; although I would restore the brake calipers with a new coat(s) of clear coat as the shiny finish has dulled and peeled off here and there (this is a very common occurrence).

Feel free to contact me at npsyllos@me.com if you have any questions. PPI’s are welcomed at your expense, and I’m happy to help arrange that. The car is located in San Diego.

Nice looking car!

Your PSS-10s were over $4300? How is that possible? I paid $2200 for mine and you can still buy a new set for close to that...

Noooooooooo!!!! What's with my SD 993 brethren leaving the group??? First Javi (back to a 964 at least), now you, and another one going soon (going chixster to boot...).

To buyers, Nick is an all around good guy and takes very good care of his cars.

Fair question. Labor to remove stock shocks/springs, install PSS10's, set ride height, full alignment, install short shift kit, golden rod and SSK etc. was $1,330. PSS-10's were $2,750 and $250 in tax. Cha-ching...

Thanks Keith. I'm still in the hood though, and my new 72 won't be named cupcake......

Fairly priced and a real looker to boot.

You'll miss it and it will be gone soon.

GLWS, looks great. Very well equipped. I'd like to trade mine for black/tan or black/black.

Nick, I was fearing I'd see the day of this. I cannot wait to hear what you have going on.

I've talked a friend out of a 997 turbo, to a "simple" 993 for a fun car, but I need to send him this. Honestly, I am considering whether he is a good candidate for an older car-he's pretty meticulous, but won't have the time to tweak, so will probably pay somome for all work- but if he is, this would be something special for him?

I don't land until midnight tonight, and will be comatose tomorrow. I'll get info to him, and if we can, maybe try to hook up early next week, if he wants to? I'm off to Dallas again mid-week next week.

Wow!

the 72 is one of my favorites! Nic, i can't wait to see yours!
I found a newly restored purple '72 with a euro 2.7 rs motor for $65k.
I want it so bad, now if business better, it would be mine!

Thanks Ed-
Please send your pal my way and tell him about the car. The San Diego crowd will welcome him into the group and it would be great to keep the car close.

I'm counting on the new project spending some time in your garage with you and our buds getting involved!!

Beautiful car. Fairly priced. It will go quickly. Wish it was available back in January when I bought mine.
