Default New 993 C4S Nurburgring video (not mine)

Great video for a mid-afternoon work break:

Not mine, and not quite a professional driver, but a great noise and fun to watch. Video was uploaded last September. Enjoy!

Thanks for the Ring video post ! It brings back memories of the many laps while driving a 3 series.

Not crazy about his driving style. Too many downshifts, when he could carry speed through the corner. Also needs to trail brake longer. Other than that , (and the fancy gloves), he did a good job.

Given he was following an instructor and they were all in convoy my guess is they were all green and had no idea about the track. They were clearly not going full throttle at points when they should have been and were also definitely not going 10/10... more like 6/10ths, waiting for the convoy to close in etc.... seemed a bit more like a beginners convoy drive more than an all out run to me. Hence the weird shifting and braking and lack of appropriate throttle application I guess.

Those gloves are race car driving gloves. Very popular in the 1950's and possibly in the forties too. They were worn by Fangio, Collins, Hill and every count that raced sports cars.

I have been at a similar event. Very good for learning the ring. Obviously, there are tons of more spectacular onboard camera vids from the Nürburgring out there, if you search on youtube.
(a few favorites below)
edit says: ah shucks, I can't figure out embedding. Google porsche 956 video nürburgring, onboard 67 nurburgring and Ruf CTR 930 nürburgring, if you are so inclined.

.... from the OP's link, here's another of two 993 GT2's having it out in 'take no prisoners' style ...
