I would have bought that car for $28K (or whatever it sold for) sight-unseen. No question.

Tidy profit (minus the $10 worth of armor-all)

hate to be the conspiracy theorist here...

and don't know much of that seller (to I do recall seeing one of their real pretty Aventurine - IIRC - cars w/ branded title being disected here recently)... but will say that they at least seem to have some pretty impressive cars there... and... that their photography is fabulous. I reallllly like some of the angles they capture and depths they shoot at... they definitely get it. I tend to shoot similarly.

anywho

my point is...

EDIT: d'oh, sorry, I see... I remember that private sale ebay ad now, and see that it's TG's live auction currently... need moar coffee. I do wonder if the seller actually sold it for that, would seem odd but sure yeah some folks don't care or need the $ or know better I suppose.

Sorry it got scooped from ya...

Neat car! I can't imagine having a yellow car but it looks fantastic (tho I could do w/o the hotdog motif... ketchup calipers against the mustard paint).

I gottttttta stop looking @ these f'n S Coupes... really I do. Siiiiiigh...

pardon my ignorance, but didn't 96 C4s' have a painted rear split spoiler? or was that later models?

This yellow one does not have it painted...

I know someone who flips care frequently.

The key to buying a car like this at $28K is:

- being ready to buy on the spot (a good deal will be sold quickly)
- assuming some risk with your purchase

And that's how it works in a free, transparent market. If you're buying on price, buy on price. Not like there's one of these non-retail priced cars hiding around every corner.

OP, at least they brought it to your state. Now go and take a look at it at least.

I was actually tempted to buy it myself when it popped up but was literally 5 minutes too late. At least now I don't have to explain to the wife why we need 2 WB 993s... And I won't have to spend the winter transferring half the mods from my C4S to that one, hehe.

But I have some business to take care of in Paramus on the 26th so I may swing by the place and check it out...

BTW, browsing through their inventory I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...item19d767452d

A 997.1 C4S for $35K. So looks like 997 cars with similar miles are going for less than 993s at this point... Now I may really stop by and take a couple of these cars for a drive.
