New Valentine V1 Threat Picture introduced today for Android phones ... iPhone connection available in Spring 2013
More information here http://www.valentine1.com/v1info/v1connection/ http://www.valentine1.com/v1info/v1c...ges/header.jpg |
I love my V1 but my first thought on that was "Great, now my phone can give me false alarms also"
:D |
There are 3 additional data screens with the following information:

Beyond Situation Awareness Think of V1 connection as the Master Controller for your V1 system. You can revise programming, adjust SAVVY settings, change muting, activate dark mode, save custom programming profiles for different trips, and more, all from your hand-held. V1connection brings new programming options. Coverage can now be specially tailored to the unique radar bands used outside the U.S. |
There is such a thing as too much information....this is probably an example of it.

You may be right ... however, I am a tech guy and there is no such thing as too much information.
Hello officer, I was not aware of my actual speed because I was studying my V1 Threat Picture ... |
And "threat picture" -- are we flying Apache gunships over Afghanistan?
|
Im digging this
|
All the phone needs to do now is to transmit microwave energy back to fry the source!

I have a 993 because I don't like all the computers and screens on the new cars...(among other reasons!!)...why would I want to stare at arrows on the phone while driving it? I like my V1 with the knob and arrows. |
I put my all upgraded V1 on the shelf and use the clamp on nav system, loaded with all the known mobile and stationary GPS data. It's much more reliable although it gives me warnings more often, as the system doesn't know if the threat is there at the moment or not.
I can select the warning time and distance so I can look out for it or just acknowledge and keep going. No matter if it's laser or radar, the warning is there. I like it better then a detector that just tells me when it's too late anyways. Ed |
...the clamp on nav system...EckFe1 |
Hmmm.....so I am blasting down the highway, talking on the phone, trying to following directions on my nav software on my phone, and I now need to toggle over to the V1?? Sometimes seperate/mission critical devices are warranted.

Seems cool. When it comes out for iOS it will make a nice added function to a retired iphone/iPod touch that is left in the car and just used for MP3 player duty.
