Loved reading the background story - thanks. And a fine car you have there -- worth the effort and wait!

Nice.
I got my hardbacked car from Tim too. Threw the duffle in the back just like you and enjoyed every mile back to the midwest. Love your car...enjoy.

Hi praise for the 993 if you're coming from a 997.2! Welcome and congrats!

1200 mile drive on a "new 16 y/o" car. Awesome!!! Only in a Porsche. Nice choice. Enjoy.

Great story.

Many here could buy a new 991 but pass because the new cars are soulless, boring and too overloaded with technological crap.

A 911 where one can't see the engine - c'mon Porsche.

But the person who doesn't know soul, doesn't ask questions and doesn't work on their car is their current target customer.

BTW: doubt you will miss the horsepower. Much more engaging vehicle. Mine turns "17" in a few months.

I'm a bit late to the party. Congrats!

A narrow body 993 coupe at non-SUV height is Porsce perfection to me. Absolutely gorgeous car.

+1 (I would do "+993", but I don't own one...yet.)

To the OP, congrats on a great find and a beautiful car!

Looks to me that you have the last Porsche built with any Porsheritage.

A friend has a RS 4.0 as well and what a great car it is to drive.

You do need to find a nice 993 RS to complement with air-cooled Porsheritage
