How to adjust cable for inside door handle ???

Guys
I was installing the newly covered rs door panels and when I was done on the drivers side I closed the door but could not open the door. What a downer - I had to undo the screws and remove the entire panel.

Everything on the relay lever looks good and nothing is loose.
I pull the relay lever all the way, but then I have to pull the bowden cable a little more before the door unlocks.

Does anyone know how to tighten the cable or adjust the tension so the handle works again?

TIA

Ken

Spent the afternoon sorting out this problem.
Got tired of having to open the window and use the external door handle to open the door for a day.

If you get this problem - then you can try this fix.
The cable has two cable guides - which are made of hard white plastic.
The front cable guide has 1 allen key bolt. The rear cable guide has 2 allen key bolts.
The rear cable guide can be moved forward and backward to adjust the tension on the cable.
My rear cable guide bolts where tight and the guide was positioned at the rear most postion.
I moved it all the way forward and tightened the bolts.
Hey presto - door opens from the inside. Slide it back and less tension and door will not open.

Hope this helps some poor soul who gets the same problem.

Regards

Ken

Bravo! Exactly what solved my problem.

The Symptom: When I remounted the door panel the relay lever (91153108300) would strike the wood backing board on the door panel and not allow the lever move far enough to release the latch. Door panel on = no release. Door panel off = latch released. Frustrating to assemble the door and find this out. But, a close look with my Sightline multifocal reading glasses and I saw the problem. Adjust the bowden cable per above post, and voila.

The best reading glasses for working on the car are the Sightline Gravity model. Awesome.
