993 Turbo S fog lights / intake question
The question relates as to whether any ductwork or other mod is required (behind the bumper cover) prior to final installation on a narrow body '98 Carrera 4 cab to achieve the effects outlined in the ad:
Active Ventilation with Lights (oem part)
The active additional ventilation for the oil cooler and air conditioning condenser contains the nose paneling and integrated position lamps in place of the standard lamps.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and rewarded with great pictures !

Actually without any hose, the ducts dump air into the area where the oil cooler and ac condenser are. So, they do provide some amount of additional cooling air to those components. I live in Florida however, and never noticed any drop in temp on the gauge. Look at it this way; they ain't hurting anything.
I'm in the process of installing the ducting hose to make them actually cool the brakes, which is only useful for track duty. However, I originally bought them for the looks.
Btw, I didn't look at the price of suncoasts, but mine are MA Shaw and fit perfectly with excellent build quality.

I got mine several years ago, so I don't even remember... I'm sure they're still on his website, or you could call him. I called about a bulb fitment question and he answered personally...

I just bought the Better Bodies brake ducts a few weeks back (non foglamp
versions), they finally arrived...Was planning to route hoses to cool the brakes,
but first: time to brush up on my bodyman/fab skills..hahaha.. It's like I bought
prototypes....

Better bodies is currently listing the same product for $369.00 so it is more expensive than OEM - granted if the bulb is only 5W on the Porsche part but all the other bits I have used are stock factory and new so why stray from a formula that's guaranteed and lose on originality if there is no financial incentive ?

My vote is for the replica ducts since they come with real fog lights. I've put 3000K HIDs in the projectors that mine came with:

Since the oem projectors are so weak, where should one order replacement bulbs from to ensure correct fitment / electrical compatibility etc.
What is the brand and correct code for the replacements and are they plug and play or another project ?
Thanks to all....

The OEM ones aren't projectors. There is a plastic lens with a low wattage "city light" bulb behind it, same as the additional bulb in your OEM fog light assembly. The Turbo S ducts delete the fog lights but retain the city light bulbs because they are required in the EU. If you put a higher wattage bulb you will burn the wiring harness.
For that reason I would rather purchase the replica ducts vs the OEM ones.
