Well, I, too, have heard "rumors" of people driving in the rain. While I unfortunately don't have physical evidence of driving at night (photos or it didn't happen), I have done it. I have actually never seen a 993 being driven in the rain. Maybe they really do melt??? Is this why guys mount fire extinguishers inside their cars? Not a bad idea. We could use our cars a lot more that way.
