Default Transition

A couple of pics of the transition back to stock from when I just got the car (June 2011)...

First pic - June 2011 as received, Turbo S Tail, RS Splitter and rocker panels.
Second pic - August 2011 Turbo S wing and RS Splitters removed
Last Pic - Oct 2012 - finally RS Rocker panels removed.

Removing the RS rocker panels and going back to stock requires body repair and paintowrk. Could not source stone guards for the NB 993, running without them (naked). Had mirrors repainted, basket handle delete holes filled, looks much better...

Looks nice - a lot better than when you bought it. Xpel sells the stone guard (Clear Bra) pieces. They are easy to install.

Wow, looks so much better now. I was never a fan of the add-on splitters and turbo S tail. Keepin' it simple and clean

Take a look at FD Motorsports for the stone guards. I just put a set on my car (also GR) and they look great.

hmm. There's a butt for every seat, I suppose.

Had it been mine, I would have kept the splitter and rockers and dumped the Turbo S tail for a ducktail.

It is a nice looking car, though. Enjoy it and drive it!

What are you going to do with the splitters and the rockers? They would have been a lot more subdued on your car painted red... black was just too loud and looked unfinished.

Huge improvement! Looks like you don't need a Delorian to go back to the future. If you want a model for the perfect GR coupe study the Cactuswagen.

An improvement that is far more clean looking, but then I am a fan of keeping things stock and original. And an unmolested car sells better.

Thanks for all the feedback/compliments. I think she looks smaller & lighter with all the aero kit removed. I have always loved the classic 911 "look", and going back stock really got me what I wanted. I would not have purchased the car if it had not come with the original decklid and front end pieces. The splitters and rockers are on a shelf in the barn, the whale tail is hung up on the wall and is officially "barn art" now.

+1 for stock look and another +1 for FD to get your new clear guards.
