I need to replace my centre air vent and before I try to remove it ( in a way I am not to sure and will probably damage it ), does anyway know if it just wiggles out, push on the left or right side first etc etc...

It will really fight back. Thanks to RL, I determined that, in order to easily access the antenna booster lead when replacing the windshield, it's best to remove the upper dash. That requires pulling the center vent to access the nut that holds the dash in place. Use both hands (thumbs and forefingers) and just pull straight back with all your might and pray. It snaps into place quite easily but getting it out is another matter.

If it's stuck force it, if it breaks it needed replacing anyway!

There are small metal "clips" 2 on top 2 on bottom. They allow you to push it and it locks into place but to remove you have to be able to hold all of them in the "retracted" position. You might be able to use a small finishing nail in each one to hold it retracted. If you try pulling on it there will probably broken plastic when you're done. Saw it happen once.

You can access the center nut by removing the clock. There are only two metal clips on the top of the vents but it is much easier to remove the dash top and then pop the vents out.

Another vote for not just yanking on it. I used 2 strong toothpicks, wedged the top 2 clips down, gave it a tug and out it popped.
The foam seal where the vent mates to the plenum in mine was dust. Used window/door foam strip with sticky on one side to replace it. Seemed to increase airflow.

Get a couple of thin putty blades to hold down the clips. Use a flashlight to see them. DOn't just yank it out. If you do it will break the clips. However, I have had one in with broken clips (first time I did it) and no problem. It fits snugly and doesn't rattle. Second time I pushed the clips down.

Tried it today with no luck. Got the two top clips loose enough to have the top half of the vent come out but there was no way the bottom part was going to give. Couldn't see where the clips were on the bottom part of the vent though. If I have the top clips loose, should I just give it a good old tug?

The two bottom clips are detents that stick out, with no way to take tension off like the top. They should press inward as you pull the vent out.
