Welcome! This is a tough crowd that likes new folks to do an introduction post with pics of your car. The "introduction" applies more to your car than you for this group....LOL And they are picture ******....more pictures the better!

Wow, this is a tough crowd! Thanks for the heads up Keith. It's a good thing I have a sense of humor.

I have been around Porsche's for the past 28 years. First car owned was a 1972 911T. The list then grew to a 1978 911SC, 1970 914-6, 1964 356C, 1976 914-4, 1973 911T, 1996 993, and the screamer a 914-6 full race car painted in gulf blue with an orange stripe down the midde just like a 917. I compete in GT-2 at SCCA, PCA and F.A.R.A. events in Florida. My uncle is a "retired" Porsche Mechanic who also raced in IMSA. He was trained by Hans Mandt and refuses to stop working which is great. I am interested in selling the 1976 914-4 and 1973 911T which is currently a roller. More information and pictures to follow.

If anyone has that heater control box please let me know today. I busted one and want to put it back in this weekend. Otherwise, i will try my luck with one of the dismantlers.

I just wanted to tell you that i have still 2 available.... to late ...
anyway, shipping might be more than the part itself.

On the other hand, due to its heavy weight loss program (i like this contradiction...), i have a lot of stuff idling in my storage...

rebuild is not anymore in my mind, so everything is for 'to go'
mostly everything removable from the interior incl. seats, all heater and aircon related parts incl. ccu, blower, piping and other stuff you don't need on the track... etc. etc.

I guess they are so expensive as for most 993 owners they never need replacement resulting in them being a rare replacement part as-new from Porsche. However there are two on every car that is salvaged so Porsche is really just telling you to go somewhere else to buy it through their pricing.

My friend just snagged his heater control box on the driveway and destroyed it. Guess there's an argument, once again, to reinstall his engine tray cover.

Anyone still have a heater box to sell? Sunset prices them at $319.

put the engine tray back on...LOL
