blinking flasher - troubleshooting
I need some advice on how to troubleshoot a tailight issue. I replaced all 6 bulbs, and nothing changed. What do I do next?
When the lights are turned full on, the rear lamps are illuminated as follows:
Driver side (L-R from rear of car) - off, on, on
Passenger side (L-R from rear of car) - on, off, on
When the left turn signal is on (blinks fast):
Driver side - blinking fast, off, on
Passenger side - on, off, on
When the right turn signal is on:
Driver side - off, on, on
Passenger side - off, blinking, on
All of the brake lights function when the brake pedal is pressed. The headlights and front turn signal lights are functioning normally.

was the rear bumper cover or a taillight assembly recently out of the car?
The wiring harness for the rear marker light, and the blinker have the same pin structure. If one side is swapped, it'll give you the weird blinking pattern.
Last summer I had the rear cover resprayed, and the shop switched sockets. Pull both rear corner assembly's and compare wiring harness colors for the turn signal, and marker lights.
Thats all I got to offer...the front turn signals are flashing at the usual cadence, not faster than normal?
I had both a bad front right turn signal bulb, and a rear right switched socket...drove me nuts for about an hour.
Good luck

More of that RL Magic
Had identical pattern likely due to bumper removal at shop
and after changing out bulbs to no avail
found this thread and immediately
solved issue. Fwiw dint realize that blinker lights
stayed off until engaged so added to confusion.
Cheers and thanks, john
