WOW. I am amazed. I guess now my search is to see how I can replace the part, I think i'll buy one and take it to a local leather place to see if they can match it. damn I wish I'd checked here first. I think though I'll be emailing Mr Gun for his comments. Lest he bothers to reply! (which I doubt)

MY PARTS ARRIVED TODAY. Yay. air mail from the us. only 3 months late. So I need to ensure truthfulness. Alan Gun did not Lose my part. He gave it back....eventually

The bad.

The purchased part, ie what I paid Alan Gun to make isn't quite the color match I was expecting.

Aussie, so sorry for your troubles. I must confess when I opened the photo link I broke out laughing. I know it's not a laughing matter to you but the level of incompetence from AGL is simply staggering.

The good thing, you got your shifter back. Best of luck getting it matched correctly next time. It's a good thing for us not all aftermarket shops are as bad as AGL.
