Did the yellow bird sell on Ebay? Wonder what the reserve price will be.
Mecum will also offer an iconic 917 for sale later this month. Can't wait to see that one go on the block.

Didnt ever think I would see yellow bird at a mecum auction. The 2k mile C4S is awesome. Too bad it isnt Riv blue, it would be worth an additional 100k.....

The GR C4S has been popping up quite frequently in the past few years. Sloan had it most recently, http://sloancars.com/1863/1997-993-c...cashmere-1951/ , it was listed privately a couple of times, and I'd swear Sloan had it 4-5 years ago as well. Not too many 2000 mile, GR/cash, C4S' around with painted hardbacks.

The GR C4S must be this one from Willhoit. Close to the $100k mark at $99.9k - Cannot believe there are two.

Speaking of RPM, I visited their location saturday and got to meet RAY the owner, this guy has the most cleanest and lowest mileage 993 collection I have ever seen , all his cars are under 11k miles and the owner knows this cars like the palms of his hands, we walked though the whole inventory and as we were walking he was telling me what year each car was and mileage with out looking at any notes, went to go check out a couple of fine examples including a gorgeous TURBO S

BTW, here's a thing about Mecum. Or rather, about how it's shown and commented on Velocity channel.
I have always found it interesting to hear commentary on old American iron that comes up for sale and is shown on Velocity's Mecum auction shows. Until recently, when there was an auction with newer cars. A few BMW E36s came through. The hosts were so totally and completely incorrect on years, options and other details on those cars that I'm not seriously questions whether they just blowing smoke up our asses on the rest of the car as well. It was truly atrocious. If you don't have a clue, sit there silently. Don't give us "facts" that are completely false.
