I ended up doing my big reds professionally through a shop (removal of calipers, sent away for strip down, repaint, reclear). Ended up being under $200 per corner IIRC w labor and they look like they came from the factory. No regrets.

I am so annoyed.
i have spent hours and hours sand blasting my calipers then priming them and painting them with Motip spray paint. I then affixed the decals and they looked great.
To seal everything I decided to complete the job with a coat of VHT clear coat.
Within a few minutes the paint began to crackle in certain places.
Has anyone any idea why this has happened as all paints were solvent based?
I’m gutted!
