Default Recommend machine shop on the North East coast

engine is apart and ready to ship parts to the machine shop.

Can anyone recommend a good machine shop? ideally, on the North East coast.

I would like to have the heads done, including

- valve job (I was told to request a 3 angle valve shop - not sure what that means
-new valve guides
- boring ports
- replace spring valve (for RS ones - any other suggestions here are welcome)

I would also need to send the cylinders and pistons to have them check for size/condition and have the rod pins replaced.

Thanks in advance for your inputs

Andreas,

I contacted Exotech and talked to Mark. He sounded very knowledgeable about Porsche stuff.
I have only one question though. I read all over the place that I should look for a shop with Serdi machine. It seems that Exotech does not have that equipment. The devoted a section of their website to explain how this is not crucial (http://www.exotechpower.com/36401.html), but me being a complete ignorant of the pros and cons of such High Tech equipment, I wanted to double check with the experts here.
What do you think?

Mark at Exotech is the expert when it comes to Porsche heads. I'm not a customer, but the grumpy, old-school, Daytona-24 tested, shop owner where I work on my car has 100% trust in Mark's work.
