Great choice of wheels! They're common on many race cars here in NorCal. Have yet to hear of any troubles.

Yup, they are great wheels. Have them on the Spec Cayman too.

PS - did you look into E88's by comparison. Just curious.
You may have to thumb wrestle Rob for the car

I did think about e88s but I've had great service from Ryan at Jongbloed and that's as important as the wheel. The 557s are forged, very light, less dough than e88s, and easier to clean (not a minor point for track wheels).

Rob - not yet, need to do more work for you! I'm putting some MCS motorsport dampers on next week with a little more spring. And we got lucky and picked up a 6-cup ABS system with 993 conversion bits that we'll tackle this winter.

Haven't posted for awhile. Like Juha... this project has been bumped by racing. Finally got the dampers/springs on today and popped it on the ground. Low rider!

MCS Motorsports 2-way dampers with 800f and 1000r springs.

Next step is proper RSR heights and corner balance....

Corner balance string alignment. Ready for a little shakedown at Mosport tomorrow.

Thx to Steve Weiner for sourcing the MCS motorsport shocks and of course all the advice

Few updates....

1. Had the OEM seat mounts further sectioned and re-welded to drop the height and nudge the seat further to the right. Switching to a Kirkey with custom poured insert.

2. Dropped the steering column down (see aluminum spacers in the u-bracket).

3. Finally fitting the lower rocker panel extensions, will post pics of these soon.

4. Cup electric power steering unit is almost ready to go. Mount arrived from Dawes (thx Trevor) and is off getting powder coated. Awaiting cam cover for power steering delete. Will post updates re. install.

You'll love the electric steering. Plus, it really cleans up the rear of the engine bay and makes changing those plugs a heck of a lot easier.
