96 C2 w/26K at dealer today-PPI
local Mercedes dealer took it in on trade. Pcar mechanic doing PPI for possible buyer. Car is lightly eqpt Arctic Silver/Black. Interior is perfect, BOTH bumper covers are junk-front bumper cover has agash's out of it, and a perfect 2" square receiver imprint dead center. Rear has big pull mark on pass side leading edge, and the bottom is pulled way out. Significant bottoming at front AND rear of car, door ding on driver door, and a pretty good scuff on driver stone guard.
Headlights and fogs are severely yellowed also, as well as all 4 Cup 2's(?) curbed.
Dealer is asking...$36K for the car. Possible buyer has a herd of Pcars, so if he can succesfully negotiate on it...he'll bring it back to where it belongs.
Bone dry underneath, suspension all stock, mechanic says it drives nice. This dealer Pcar mechanic is FRESH out of Porsche school-a great very young and enthusiastic kid...but is very new to Pcars...let alone any of the air cooled variety.
Rudy-this is the same kid who did the PPI for you on the 997.
Anyway, thought I'd share the find and details.
Certainly not worth $36K in current condition, regardless of mileage...IMHO.

If you ever need a PPI for a GT3 RS, GT2, etc...I'd be more than happy, meybe even a Turbo. I can certainly pretend to know what I'm looking at long enough to baffle someone.
AS I went over that C2 today, I told Tyler(Pcar tech) that I wished I knew as much about 993's when I was actually searching to buy one, as I KINDA do now.
Also, saw the 991 for the first time...a 911 CARRERA S-said so right on the back. White, some not called sand colored interior, PDK naturally. Did absolutely nothing for me, nothing. Sorry, but less appealing than a 997 to me. The sticker was above $111K, wow...Maybe another color, but I doubt it. I thought the rear parcel shelf was fugly too...
