Monterey Week 2012. Who's in?
I know it's months away but you guys know how quickly things sell out and book up. I bought Concorso Italiano tickets today. Thinking about Legends of the Autobahn for Friday as well.
Who, what, where, when etc?

Hey Jason, would love to hang out again, I am in. Looks like mid-August, and the Shelby Cobra is the featured marque this year. If you want to ship your 930 out here to drive to Monterey, lets just bypass FDM this year and ship it right to my house so I can keep it safe until you arrive But seriously, would love to see you again, looking forward to it.

I'm in!
G$ 993, You are going to love it. The problem with Monterey Car Week isn't deciding what you are going to do, it's trying to make the decision of what am I going to miss!

I'll probably go again this year, but too hard to plan that farcout right now. Don't know if I'll fly or drive.
Concorso is a great event! If I go, I may try Legends this year. I did Concours last year as well, way toooooo many people. Food was better at Concorso than Concours too.
Of course, at least Saturday will be at the track.

Nice to see that quite a few are already signing up. I'll most likely ship a car for the week and may take Paul up on the offer for the 930 if I still have it!
Friday: Concorso Italiano and Legends of the Autobahn
Saturday: ?
Sunday: ?
We've gone to the same events the last three years so we want to do different things this year. Any ideas for Saturday and Sunday?

My brother and I want to go for the weekend this year (I cannot get more time off then a weekend).
I would be very interested in Legends.
Where is a good place to stay?

At this point, anywhere you can find a room. I looked for available rooms around Carmel and the entire town is booked up. There are still some rooms available in Monterey and Pacifica, and some in Salinas I'm sure. I'm staying 3 nights free in Santa Cruz.
It's funny that the cheap divy motel rooms are $350/night for that weekend. The same rooms on the following Monday night drop down to $100 or less. Nice hotels in/around Carmel are $500/night and up.
I'll be there for the weekend, in the middle of a 2-week road trip coming down 101/1 from Seattle.
