WTB: 6speed silver or blue 993 with <80k miles
this is for a family member who I have "converted" into the 911 fold......
looking for a good deal for a him,
he is willing to spend between $25-30k
Is this a reasonable amount to expect with the following :

- - manual
- - silver or blue
- - less than 80-85,000 miles
- - coupe only
- - 2wd preferable (but he is not a '4wd-ist'
) - - 95'-98' 993
- - no major issues (ie no rust, etc)
or am I dreaming?

He is going to struggle to make that happen. Current market seems to be $30-36k for the car you are describing. Sub- $30k usually gets you more miles, more stories or deferred maintenance. My experience is that prices are up several thousand just in the last few months for whatever reason. If you are patient every so often you find a person not in tune with the market or who actually likes Bruce Anderson (Excellence) who says you can buy a so-so 993 for $18k and an excellent car for $25k. I think everyone on this forum would buy every excellent 993 they could find for $25k if they could...

good to know.... it does seem like prices are up several thousand in the last couple of months... it's almost as if the further we get away from the 993 (ie "991").... the greater in value the car(s) become.
