New ride and questions.
Armed with my Rennlist education I bought a car and have an initial question, the first of many I am sure. It's a '98 C2S, dark blue, cashmere/black int. with sport seats, aerokit II, etc.
I need to move the seats back and may prefer a seat with more lumbar support than these. I know that moving them back is not an issue and if I do change them to something easier on my back I will store them away with any other parts I may remove from the car.
What other seats might work well for my situation? 996 seats seem to be in good supply and I am wondering if the sport seats or GT3 seats from those cars can be fitted and if they will provide better back support. I understand that any seat swap will provide some mech challenges but I don't mind that.
These shots are all I have so far; it's a rainy day.

Beautiful car! Careful with your complaints about the 993 hard back sport seats or you may be banned from this forum. I'm only half joking.
You're not going to get more lumbar support from a 996 sport seat either. I have the 996 sport seats, they are pretty much the same.
You could stuff a piece of foam in the cushion of your current seat. I used to do that with my Recaro Pole Positions.
Regarding moving the seats back, there is another inch or so room by bolting them further back. Carefull with the allen bolts, they are made of cheese.

I have racetech race seats in my car and I use this for lumbar support:

If I recall, it has a velcro strip on the back so it sticks to the velour of the race seats - this, of course, would not work for you but maybe you could figure something else out.
I agree with ilko as I am very jealous of your hardback sport seats - too much complaining and ban

OK, no more complaining, I love the hardbacks. I've never tried an add on lumbar support but that's a great idea and I'll give it a try. Also found the numerous 996 seat threads.
Thanks very much.

Welcome to Rennlist. Your, sir, are a person of impeccable taste. For 9+ years and 60k miles I have had a similar C2S (Ocean Blue/Classic Grey) and the same Sport Classic II wheels. Mine's not lowered, though, and doesn't have the yellow brakes or fixed rear tail.
