That's actually not a bad price for a genuine 2.7 RS.

That's what I was thinking too. These things are like gold.

I love 911 RSs but man, that's a lot of money...

I mean, if you put the collectibility aside (I know, you of course can't) and just think about it as a vehicle, if you buy a low mileage '74 911, you'll have practically the same car and what? At least 150K pounds still in the pocket...

What are the RSRs going for these days? I always loved those even more than RSs.

Maybe a '74 ROW Carrera (aka a 911/83 engined car). Most definitely NOT a CIS variant.

Funny thing about these, is that this guy who lived in my then girlfriend's apartment complex had a red touring. Put it up for sale for $20K (~1986). No way, no how was a '73 RS going to command $20K. Guy flew in from Texas to look at it (Charlie Carrera, if you can believe it. Big PCA guy in that area back then.) I PPI'd it, and we're just not sure this thing was for real. Got Bruce Anderson on the phone on a weekend, and the three of us just couldn't say for sure. Charlie passed, but the car sold. And shortly after that, they took off. Though a friend of mine found a ~75K kilo Sepia Brown repainted to White quasi-lightweight for $25K in '95 or '96. THAT was the steal of all steals. I still have the unrepairable plastic gas tank.

There's one in Dubai for sale at 5,000,000 AED = $1,300,000 or 987,000 Euro.

Insane and not worth it IMO.

As Jerry Seinfeld says that's a 'dead man's car"
