Default Group Buy - Rennline Strut Brace (3 Point)

So I talked with the folks at Rennline, and they agreed to give us 20% off the 3 point front strut brace is we can get 10 people on board to purchase. If you do the math, its about $60 off.

I am currently hosting this group buy on the 964 forum. If you would like to join in, please post there.

Thanks folks ...

OK, saw the photo in the members area. Not crazy about drilling into metal. I'll pass. Now if it was a strut brace attached to the towers only then I'd buy one.

there is a 2 point mount option .. not sure if it would "qualify" for the group buy, but its worth asking

from what i've read, once you go with a front strut brace, you never go back ... so this would more than likely by an upgrade you stick with. Not sure if that makes you look at the option differently, but its worth a thought.

Just concerned how someone else would view the mod. I only do things that are reversible and any drilling into original sheet metal creates issues. Now if I had a track car, no worries, but its not....

I got this one:

Really nice quality, 10 minute install, and my carpet will fit over it so it doesn't show. And no, I will never go back to driving without it.

I wonder if the pad on the frame member is in compression? If so, then it can be glued to the rail and would likely stay there, rather than drill holes.

Does this clear the stock 993 gas tank?

So that would be $235 + shipping then? Good deal if it works on stock cars.

Cheers,

Mike

Strut bars are usually installed to "pull" the towers inwards, so i would think that there would be a "negative" pressure on the additional bar as well. To do a proper install, I would definitely install it securely.

I'm trying to see if we can get the shipping comped

Also, the part number is the same for the 964 and 993, so it should most definitely fit with a stock fuel tank.

I put this one on my car last year, silver version ($129 plus free shipping)
It's a nicely made piece and functions as designed. I was going to make my own, but for the price this one was too easy.

Does that fit under the carpet without cutting.
