I think it can, but it is not the flat design. I slit my carpet so the carpet fits under it.

Really nice quality, 10 minute install, and my carpet will fit over it so it doesn't show. And no, I will never go back to driving without it.
+3.6! your thread prompted me to order one to go with my shock/spring project. Quite light too.

Anyone with experience with the 3 pt brace? I am interested if it will noticeably improve stiffness compared to the 2 pt brace.

+Darin! I offered $105 shipped for a black one and its on the way. I like the clean fabrication and no graphics.

Nice buy!
FYI- we received your control arm cores at the shop. Thanks for the fast turn around.

Nice price! So this is mounted vertically rather than horizontally (on top of strut tower)? Does any hole needs to be drilled? How does it compare to those horizontal mounted type?

One thing I could never understand...If the strut brace has hinges, then how will it stop the chassis from flexing?

I've had the Schnell brace for a number of years and have been very pleased. reasonable price and quality. there are higher quality braces out there but for the price this is pretty nice. mine did barely fit under the carpet but I too put small slits in the carpet to expose it. so either approach will work. as to the dynamics of the brace - all I have read says the purpose is to limit any strut tower flex as opposed to applying tension in any direction. when installed the brace should not pull the towers together or push them apart but simply lock them in place.

It can't stop flex on it's own. You'd really need to build a cage with multiple suspension pick up points to do that.

It just keeps the suspension geometry somewhat consistent under stress.
