I think we should make it as as a trophy that gets shipped around to Rennlisters when we admit our bone-headed mistakes!!

Anyway, really glad for you this she is running again.
Look at it this way, your car is now fixed and you are a legend on rennlist.

No kidding! Looking outside and seeing all the snow was the sign that I was going to get it wrapped up today. Thankfully it's looking like it's melting off quickly here. Just buttoned up the suspension, changed out the kinematic lever and master cylinder and bled the clutch..feels great, super light (almost too light, I like heavy pedals!). Couple more odds and ends like putting the belly pans back on and I guess I'll be going out for a shakedown run around the block (sans mufflers, of course! ).

Travis, I am curious what the ride is like as you have your PSS9/10 shock perch all the way down on the perch threads.
I ask as I have my 993 C4S perch showing about 2" of threads and the rear is bone jarring.
Do you have more shock absorbation with the rear springs looser due to the low perch setting /
Thanks

I think you're looking at Mike J's picture..I am still on the stock suspension!

Most 993 owners change that one, unless of course your clutch master cylinder was leaking or...
Were you experiencing the common "grawk" sound when stepping on the clutch pedal, or was the clutch pedal just getting too notchy or heavy to depress?

I changed both, just to be safe. I still get the "grawk" somewhat, but everything is silky smooth now. I was going to say it feels like a brand new car, but I guess it should after replacing everything!
Just got back from the shake down..it's like falling in love all over again. Died once on me, that's it. For me at least, the lighter flywheel is nearly invisible...until I goosed it a little in 1st. Definitely feels a little perkier! Free revs are snappier as well. I turned around in a parking garage and gave it a quick rev, there was a guy in the corner on the phone that just about jumped out of his shoes (for the record, I didn't see him until after the fact )...almost makes me want to get super cups! The budget was spread a little thin overall, but I am 100% glad I spent a little extra to go with it now.
Only thing is the idle is a little lopey most of the time, like it has cams. It does smooth out eventually; is this a LWF caveat? Not that I am complaining, it sounds pretty sweet! Though I am not sure if it has run for an entire 15 minutes yet, even cumulatively. Do the '95 computers have the "learning" period like the '96+ cars do?

I'll let you know what the result of my clutch master & slave cylinder replacement is. I'm just in the process of doing that job now.
