That it was. I am positively exhausted..I've overslept the past three days and feel like I could sleep straight through the rest of the weekend. Definitely the most adversity I have ever faced during a project (project related and otherwise), let alone one of the biggest and highest stakes projects I've ever tackled. Hearing that thing fire up felt like 500 pounds instantly falling off my chest!

Well done Travis. Left paper towel in a 914 engine i rebuilt once. After 20 minuites of trying it finally blew out the exhaust and filled the garage with tons of paper bits ,it was just like a snowstorm . You could not see across the garage. Its always something.....

I am incredibly relieved to see it start as result of your hard work. I can't imagine how much money and time you just saved by trying everything possible and sticking to it. You knew it would be something simple. I'm glad you found it.

Good news you will never be scared to work on the 993 again. Everything else will be a piece of cake.
All I did today was changed out a friends spoiler wall, no paper towels needed.

What I want to know is if this is going to end up on the Carfax, or otherwise brand the title?
(Great to hear this was just a labor hassle to get straightened out.)

Not quite the same, but a buddy of mine had been working on his 3.6 project some years back and left the exhaust off with car in garage till spring. After putting the exhaust on he started the car to a big bang followed by a large impact on the garage door of projectile dog food. A mouse had been robbing the dogs bowl and stashing the food inside the exhaust ports. The car had a nice burnt dog food smell for the first 15mins of start up for a good 6 months.

Man what an adventure! So glad to see you got it sorted but boy what a trip to get there...
I've been thinking of doing the drop myself when I do the LWFW but I have to admit, this thread maybe changed my mind and I'm just gonna pay for someone else to do it...
Maybe the best thread ever with a great ending!
