A lot of 964 Speedsters seemed to come from the factory with body-colored wheels - based on what appear to be factory photos - so, even though I'm a silver-wheel kind of guy, I think going with body-colored wheels on SpeedArena would be a cool nod.

Thanks Harry, I'm not a big fan of the Cup I's being completely painted out like they did for some of the '94's but these 996 Twists seem to lend themselves to having an edge lip in brushed aluminum which will break the color between the wheel and the tire so that may be why they work for me ... although 1/4" isn't enough, kind of got 'lost' when the tire was test mounted and that's why I'm going with a 1/2" lip

We could be setting a new trend here, how many other arena red owners have contemplated this?

My vote for silver or gold.

So I too have contemplated this. I think it looks great, but the majority really don't think so. I will find the picture I have of a C2S with arena red turbo twists. If you think you will like it then I say go for it.

I actually like this look and may buy an extra set of wheels to paint. Allowing me the choice to paint and/or repaint whenever the trend changes. Also keeping the original wheels untouched to maintain the originality of my car. It seems for resale purposes (heaven forbid) that the more orginal, the more desireable.

Yes, I agree .. AND important to note here that the 'natural' break line for the lip on the 993 twists creates a 1 1/4" lip, but you could go smaller ...

Absolutely the best plan ... and then you can always sell the other wheels or re-do them for another car
