Default CanCan sport seats?

Did any 993's come with CanCan red sport seats?

This style anyway, I have seen the later hard backs done in CanCan but I am looking for the earlier ones.

Pictures would be awesome, BTW I searched but couldn't find anything.

Thanks, Doug.

Good luck my friend, I've seen Can Can interior pics on here before. Finding some for sale...at any price, is another story.

Softback sport seats only came in the early 95 and were replaced by hardbacks in late 95 models. CanCan... only if somebody ordered a custom interior in a very early car. "Possible, but very, very expensive" as a friend of mine likes to say.

I would call Colorplus or Leatherique and ask about dye, then have them dyed by a professional upholstery restorer. Because they know how to bleach and prepare leather, they can go from black to linen if you want them to, so Can Can would be no problem.

Thanks, I think what I am going to do is have them completely redone in new leather, I also plan to have seat heaters installed. And don't worry the one's pictured are not my cores. I could never rip apart a set that nice.

I have a local upholstery guy who has done some great work restoring a set of manual early sport seats from a 944.

Just a heads-up. Autobahn Upholstery in San Diego will make you a set of manual or electric sport seats out of regular seats (so will several other shops, easy conversion ...) and re-upholster in any color, perforated inserts, 993 stitching etc.

I have seen the sport seat conversion topic come up before, others had recommended

http://www.franzinibros.com/
I have no direct info, but it might help you in your research.

Hey thats my old car (sniff, sniff)

Is this the part where I get all 'agro since a pic was used without my written consent?

Can't help you op but I can say that 993 softbacks are some of the best seats I've ever tried. They were THE best until I tried 997 GT3's and had to have a set for my 987 3.4 bastardo.

Well I have sourced a set of core, but they are the 944/earlier 911 style. My upholstery guy says he can replicate the 993 look though.

That's actually a pretty good price, considering current market.
