Default LED light bar Not working

Just got my beloved 95 C2 back from the shop...10 days!!! I don't recall ever missing a non living thing to this extent.
Anyway, The light bar is not working, none of the LED's
I figure Its unlikely that all of the LED's blew. Any thoughts?

Anyone from NY, NJ, CT want to drive to Bear Mt this Saturday? It will be a nice sunny day.

Check fuse no ??? in the front fuse box.
I remember when I pulled 12v from the belt sensor in the engine and it blew the fuse for the warning light section on the dash becuase it chewed too many amps. Is this the "light bar" you are talking about?

If I remember correctly - try fuse no 12 which is a 15 amp. In the front compartment fuse box.
Otherwise - just get a flash light and check.

Did you convert your 'basket handle' to LEDs? If not, the third brake light uses incandescent bulbs.

This is a known fault. The connection goes through the rear windshield and fails over time. Mine did and others are known also. The solution is to direct wire it by going through the rear seal. Here is a link that might help: http://p-car.com/diy/glass/

Before fixing anything, make sure you understand what the issue is.

Since the connection at the window is a know weakness, start there.

first I would get an alternate 12 V source and power the brake lights from an accessible point, I have a 96, so my access point is different.

On the other side, you can use a volt meter to see if voltage is getting to the wires when the brake is applied, depending on which side fails the test, work from there either towards the brake pedal, or towards the bulbs.

The OP has is talking about the "basket handle." Does the power to that run thru the windshield?

On my 96 it does (go through the rear window). I would guess on a 95 with a basket handle, it is through the engine compartment, then to the lid. I am guessing there is a connector in the engine bay that can be used as an access point.

those with 95's can correct me.

Oops, my mistake. Would expect the wiring to be in the decklid and from there can't say.

Dave,

I don't think they are LEDs, they are bulbs.

this is for a 96, but I think the guts of the brake light are the same. http://p-car.com/diy/3rd/

First you need to figure out what your problem is. I suspect that if none of the bulbs light up, then the problem is a broken connection.

but you can determine that by the steps I outlined in my previous post. (#9)
