Unfortunate encounter - need help with parts
Unfortunately, the back of my car had an big impact with a guard rail. Very sad. Rear of car is pretty twisted - frame and body repair is presently underway. The impact was hard enough to mash pretty much everything between the engine and rear bumper, so I also need to find a lot of peripheral parts (e.g. entire exhaust, cats, sheet metal for engine, rear engine support, cast crossover, rear muffler support, hoses for heater box (and maybe box), rear bumper beam). Does anyone have pointers for where to look? Someone who did a "project" to put a 3.6 engine into some other car (e.g. 944) would be perfect, since likely all this would be left over. Thanks for any suggestions.

Sorry about your (and the car's) misfortune.
I know others have used LA Dismantler's for replacement parts. I have heard good and bad things about the parts received. It may be a place to start, check prices and go from there. I would think others, certainly more knowledgeable than I, will chime in on this one.
BOL with the car.

DC Automotive is a great resource, they may not be the cheapest place around but they are honest and have a great inventory.

I would be patient and keep watch for a part-out, they come up fairly often. Check Pelican.
I will have a spare cat in a couple weeks thought it's Bischoff so probably of no use to you. Best of luck getting her back on the road soon.

I would definitely give Rick over at http://www.weekendrides.com/ a call. He's right over in PA and probably has much of what you're looking for.

Doug,
I have the bracket that sits right above the cat (where the two clamps go). If you need it, send me a PM and I'll ship it. No cost.
Sorry to hear of the mishap.
