Selling the 993 Turbo - SALE PENDING
This is hard to do on several levels. As fond as I am of the car, I have also made this Rennlist forum part of my daily life for the past several years. As most know (because I blatantly posted it) I recently retired. Then, shortly after retiring I totaled my '06 BMW 530I (hit a mobile scooter dropped on the freeway). The BMW was our travel car. I just got back from Europe and plan on doing several long trips across the USA. Plus I have a grandkid up north. I shopped for a used BMW and just couldn't see spending so much money for a used one. So I elected to order a new one. With that car and the 993tt my wife and I will be sharing 5 cars. Too many. I love the 993tt, but it stays covered on a battery tender most of the time.
Anyway, it is listed on Craigslist in Los Angeles and we'll see what happens. Instead of listing everything here I'll just attach a link to the ad.
Ugh.......

Chuck, I know this wasn't a easy decision.
It's one of my personal favorites on here. Classic color combo, HB seats, with all the right mods and low miles.
Perfectly kept car with meticulous owner, and you have it priced very well. It will go quickly in my opinion.
GLWS and I'm not going to do the whole "Don't do it, you'll regret it". I don't do regrets, no time with 4 kids.

I know you thought this through, still hard to believe though ... Anyway, good luck with the sale, as stated above, some lucky person will get a great car ...

Chuck, sorry you decided to sell the TT, but the beauty of it is, if circumstance changes, you can always come back into the fold! Sounds like someone will get getting a very nice car!
Cheers,
Mike

Well, I had the good fortune to hang out with Chuck, and drive his Turbo the other day.
I can attest that not only is the car in pristine condition, but you couldn't ask for a more thorough and honest seller than Chuck.
Someone is gonna get a terrific Turbo.

Awww, man.
Good luck with the sale, I'll echo everyone else in saying that the buyer will be lucky to get such a nice ride! I hope you'll stick around here anyway and maybe even get back into one at some point!

Chuck, congrats on the successful career, retirement, and new BMW! I don't know what saddens me more; you selling the Turbo, or the possibility we might not see you as much on Rennlist. Please visit us often.
Your ad looks great, and the 993TT looks even better. Very fair price. This will go fast.
