Two Tone Interior or Leave Stock?

That's a pretty good photoshop job.
I'd stay stock and add some OEM carbon fibre bits to it.
Check out Macca's car for marble grey interior with a shed load of carbon.
If grey aint your thing then change it to black. That tripple black that is about to go into storage looks pretty dam nice.

installing a black steering wheel changes a grey interior quite a bit, try that first.
then pick up some coco mats with an interesting pattern.
if you want more, check the parts for sale section for seats, another easy and reversible change. the 997 gt3 seats with alcantara have been looking great in these cars.
after that things get more permanent and involved, like door panel recover, dash recover, and gulp, carpet dye.
there are quite a few interior make over threads for 993's, maybe you'll get some ideas checking out those.
have fun and save some money for new suspension.

Here's an idea:
add these seats:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-PORS...item19c99004fb
Of course, repaint the hardback to "black" or "silver"!
Upgrade the steering wheel and shift ****, (black and a touch of gray to it)
Boom! you got yourself a new and awesome interior!

$10K for a pair of seats is steep. Wouldn't hurt to offer $5-6K for them. The auction has been going on for awhile.
I figured all the two tone change-out, steering wheel and dash modification, etc... wasn't going to be cheap either. $3-4K range?

I vote for leaving it stock except swap the gear lever and hand brake lever with black ones. And keep the originals for when you sell it down the road someday.

I think converting to black wheel, dash, door tops as shown in a few of the posts is the way to go. It breaks up the total gray and is factory option correct. Glad I did this post before doing the work.

I also had a 2 color interior, albeit, flamenco red and black and I thought adding more black would tone it down and it did. On my car, the first thing I did was change out the stock steering wheel to a 3 spoke MY02 black wheel and added new black mats. Someday I will change all of the carpeting including the door panels carpeting to black but my carpeting is in terrific shape / not sure about yours. I would probably advise going for a set of black GT3 seats.

I would keep it as is and drive the car. In the beginning I was sure I didn't like my deviated carpet scheme .. Cashmere sport seats and black carpet. Then it grew on me and 6 years later .. I love it!!
Save the $$$ for suspension mods .. steering wheel .. etc.

That's the ticket! I've never been a fan of contrasting seat/carpet colors- it makes the seats appear to be floating separately in space and not part of the car. You'll need to keep the black floormats, though, as the factory gray will look dirty and worn in short order. (or maybe there are darker gray mats available?)
The only other significant change from the standard factory scheme I would consider that looks nice in your car is to use black carpeting on the lower part of the door. That would "hide" the black speakers and handle, as well as tie in with the black mats. Showed some potential in post #25.
