Finally clean my baby's room up.
After building an industrial strength loft in the garage (14' ceilings) I decided it was time to do the flooring. High gloss darker on my side, low gloss lighter on the Fiat's side. Next up, trim work and a flat screen.
Before:
After:
Behr Garage floor paint and chips and sand with Behr clear (5 coats) on Fiat side.. For ease of repair and touch up.
Rustolium Epoxy coating with flakes and Rustolium epoxy clear on my side and walkways.

Wow! Looks really nice. I'm very envious.
We've taken years to complete a "studs back" home re-model and all I have left is the garage. Kinda don't know where to begin it's such a sh*thole.
I love the gloss of your floor.

Thank you. This is my third...first was a detatched t car in Michigan with no insullation or ceiling...second was a brand new 3+ car in Georgia. This one is a "barely 2" in Charlotte but got tires of tripping over the kid's toys, bikes and crap as well as the countless other crap most of us put in a shed. Ordered area rug for Fiat side to use when hosting parties or when I break out the slot car track..

When the trim is finished, the ambient lighting installed and the die cast collection in place with the flip out loveseat and work station, I will take real photos. I still have several additions to frame and plug in.

On the Behr side, it is not too bad. (Added the sand for wwhen the wife plows into the garage from the elements)
On the Epoxy side, I added a bit of texture, but is slick even with socks on, so I expect the need for a soft brake and pedal when wet. Probably both times per year...

I love the look of the black floor. I'll be curious to see if you find the black floor makes it tougher for light and finding dropped parts when you work on the car. I've always hesitated to go with a dark color floor for just that reason. Like super models and black cars, I love them but I'm not sure I could live with them.

I typically park the 911 on carpet pads but have used pink foam pads (insulation foam from Home Depot) plus it eliminates the flat spot on the tires after a car sits for a day or more- Even on my lightweight S2000. Sure the flat spots go away after 5-10 miles, but still a gripe.
The floor is actually a dark grey, and since it has a shine, I have not had any issues failing to find dropped nuts and bolts.

Looks great, why such a dar color? Doesn't it make the garage feel darker/smaller?
I've had the stuff to do my garage floor for 2 years now, just haven't had the time to move out & then move everything back in.
