I think I'm going back to looking at pre-'74 Long Hood market. At least there's more sanity over there.

to the seller, I have a different point of view on this... this number is higher than I think many very well informed people would have thought... if you have people calling to end the auction, I would pick a number and sell it. I am making it up - $120k, buys the car, right now.... and sell it... vs. get burned by someone who bids then doesnt pay, or whatever...then you relist, then people start to get cold feet, etc.
just my $.02.... you got someone wanting to pay you over $100k for this car, take it.

from someone that LOVES the blues and LOVES widebodies and thinks that they command a huge premium, I am on the FLOOR at the money this car is bringing in auction...

Well, at this stage of the game anyway, the car hasn't done anything.

Hasn't broken $100K, and has a bid of $97K that doesn't matter because it's below the reserve. It'll be interesting to see how this finally plays out, but nothing matters until the final price is set and the money has changed hands. Lotsa flaky buyers on eBay....

Pretty much a Base Model Car with Special Order Paint, 18 inch Tech.Wheels, Aluminum Gear Shift and Handbrake.Don't think it is Color to Sample but Customer Special Order.Probably Sticker around $70,000
