If memory serves me correctly, there are 2 different shades (and paint code #'s) of Adventurine Green within the 993 series.

Yes. there is the 39R, and the 39S. The 39S is a water based paint which is also known as Pearl effect paint.

Default aventurine green

hereby mine a 39S aventurine metallic paint its a water based paint also known as Pearl effect paint, with marble grey leather interior, lots of compliments.
The color changes from dark blue in the garage or with clouds in first picture to green metallic in the AZ sun.
On the window sticker its a $ 1036.00 option, total window sticker price in 1996 incl all options $ 83723.00

I am convinced that if the Porsche color were renamed "Aventurine Grey" that it would be super popular.
The first Porsche I ever drove was an Aventurine 993. I had to dig hard to find this picture and it doesn't really do the car justice but thought I'd ad it to the thread. It does look like it could even be blue in this pic sitting there in the shade, I guess more proof to the chameleon paint characteristics. I agree with jlaa, that if this paint was named Aventurine Grey, they could be more popular and possibly fall into the more desirable or possibly even sought after category. Anybody looking for a 993 I would seriously try and see one of these in person - It's a true sleeper color.

Searching the forum for recent Aventura/Aventurine content I came across the following stunning photos of stunning cars:

Posting them here means I can find them again with ease .

Really lovely color! I believe this is the same color? If so this this is exactly the 993 that put me on the map with these cars back in the 95-96 when we had this car in the showroom. I was maybe 13 years old.

I always was thinking what color was it before someone change the color to some silver 👿

Hi DiegoR, yes that is the same color. It is good to see other appreciation for this color. This color is hard to love from a simple photo - it is really a chamelon of a color and changes with the available light. This is definitely a color that one comes to know and love after a long and complex period of enjoyment - it is almost never a fling or love at first sight.

You can see how my car looks totally different in different lighting scenarios.
