Doors were primered at the same time as the shell.

really good news! i'm happy to see the progress and can not wait to enjoy the speedster ride by the end of may :-)

No, it's going Carrara White, the 996GT3RS colour.

We allow 700 hours in the price of the build.

It usually takes more.......

Only one way to paint a car top to bottom.... start at the bottom and work your way up top.

Apparently, Phil raised a sweat whilst painting the shell. The multiple colour coats are applied wet-on-wet so once you finally get to the top, you start again at the bottom and do it all again. Worth the effort though, don't you think?

Rotisserie was abandoned at this stage to make the painting of the inside and top a lot easier - part of the "time & motion" study to find out why everything took way longer to do than anticipated.

ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. Exquisite work - without question. Don't know what your hourly charge is but at 700 hours x 130.00/hr = $91,000.00 smack-a-roos in American lingo. Not for the weak at heart or wallet for that matter.
