Strut Brace
Will A front strut brace form a 90 964 fit a 96 993. It is fully adjustable for with. The reason I ask is I bought the 993 I was looking at in Portland. With the info from the PPI I was able to get them down several thousand dollars. The insurance company will let me have the brace, the head unit and amp for $100.

I think that's correct. Best way to confirm is if someplace like Pelican lists an OEM 993 strut brace with a "964" part number.

Just about all the strut braces out there will fit without a problem.
The only one you will have issues with is a RUF strut brace, the part number starts with R964xxxxxxx.
In order to use it you need to replace the front two bolts in each front strut mount with 24mm long ones. You can get these allen head bolts at Ace Hardware. Your local Lowes may carry them as well, but Home Depot did not, at least here in StL. Additionally you will need the 8mm allen head Porsche exhaust manifold/heat exchanger barrel nuts.
There is a bar that is a copy of the RUF brace that has deeper bores so that you do not have to change those bolts. I am pretty sure someone on the board has this model.
The original RUF's seem to be difficult to find these days.

Make sure you use a torque wrench when re-installing the brace. You don't want to snap off a strut bolt. IIRC, the spec is 24-26 ft.-lbs. The brace may even "tighten" up the front dash area and reduce/eliminate any annoying squeaks and creaks.
