Default Different tire threads on each side?

Hi, I recently got a flat tire on my rear left side, and the only immediate tire available was a different one than the one I have.

Would this effect my handling/Safety in any big way?

I am supposed to go back to the tire shop when they get my tire in, but they let me borrow this tire to let me drive the car while they were waiting for the tire to get in.

Sorry, I have heard not to use mismatched tires on your car.

Very dangerous, depending how different..

I would drive slow and get it changed at the first opportunity.

One thing I have noticed is that my wheel has to be turned slightly to the left in order for my car to be going straight. I never noticed this before the change. I got the same size tire, but the thread depths are different, could this be due to each tire going different lengths on one rotation? Idk, do I need an alignment?
I am planning on changing all 4 tires on Monday.

Yeah, it is NOT a good thing to have mismatched tires but just drive slow enough until you get the new tires Monday.

If you don't drive aggressively, you'll be perfectly fine.

Drive exactly as you drove before. No biggie. I wouldn't want to track a car with different tires on the same axle, but we're talking street driving here.

emphasis added on "tire"...singular. If your tires are relatively new, i'd just replace the one. Otherwise, just get 2 new tires and keep the old one as a "spare" in case this happens again.

And since my answer is opposite NP993's answer, you'll now realize that you'll be finding many opinions on this...

I was planning on getting a whole set of PS2's, when I have the funds, but the tire on the other side is only about 600 miles worn. So I just got the same type of tire to replace it with, should be in tomorrow. The temporary tire is similar, but not exactly the same, both are Dunlop's, and Summer Tread's.

But I have to get it changed before the 17th, i'm hoping to do my first AutoX at El Toro Airfield in Irvine. Wish me luck
