To add further confusion - Porsches C of A's are not always correct. There's a mistake on mine. So I dont think they always match what the car actually comes with.

But Neil Perry has official Porsche Exclusive & Tequipment Brochures/Booklets that seem to contradict some what 911PERVY says. Does Neil Perry have any pictures from his brochures/booklets?

Then how is that if C2S and C4S have the front turbo bumper, that gives more down force, but no rear spoiler, whats the story?
Then that being the case the turbo models come with the rear spoiler, but if the C2S and C4S is right that makes the turbo balance wrong.

Yes, I know the front bumper is not a spoiler, but it is designed to give more down force,
but Porsche add the spoiler on the back of the turbo with no extra down force over the C2 and C4.
Can anyone answer that?

Thanks
They have said this since the '70's. Don't forget that all 993's have rear spoilers. They're either fixed or retract at lower speeds. Their intent was don't put front spoilers on without rear spoilers, we don't know what the stabilty of the car will be at speed. All 993's have rear spoilers (if working).

I thought dan originally asked, 'Would love to install a turbo front bumper if it was ever offered as an option on a 993 C2. Would someone enlighten me on this please. Thank you..

But thanks brewmeister - it's good to know all 993 have rear spoilers.

Now the "Aero Kit II" comes with the turbo front bumper (and one part front spoiler) and turbo S rear spoiler and no side skirts.

Then there was the "Aerokit Turbo" option for NB cars, that came with the turbo bumper and standard turbo rear wing.

The information above was taken directly from the Three different year, Porsche Exclusive & Tequipment Brochures/Booklets I have.

...

There was a special C2 993 released in the US and Japan that came standard with the Aero Kit II fitted, not sure what this was called but it is noted in a couple of 993 books I have.

Thanks,
Some slight contradictions about the existence of an Aero Kit II and what comprised it. Maybe there was a difference between countries with what Aero Kits were offered and what they were called. There ought to be an icon for :head spinning:

x50type -

Yes, I now believe there is sufficient flexibility in Porsche's approach to "accessorizing" the 993 to permit me to add a front turbo bumper without compromising the car's provenance or feeling like a poser.

That said, I was amazed that my seemingly innocent question could have stimulated such an extensive and interesting exchange of information. What a great site! What a great car!
