OT: Carrera GT blasts through red light....
So I'm driving Cayenne to lunch today on Winter's Chapel Rd heading towards Peachtree Industrial and I notice a beautiful grey Carrera GT pull up behind me. Man what a car.
We got stuck behind a couple slower cars and when we got a a huge/very busy intersection I pulled into the left turn lane where the light was green. The guy continues around me and steps on it heading straight through the intersection where that light was RED! I honked at the guy to let him know he's about to run through a red light and blast into the intersection, didn't help. He flies into the intersection, realizes he F'd up and then turns left around medians and flies down the access road. Man was this guy lucky there wasn't more cars turning from the opposite direction! What an awesome car to see driving down the road even though he could have destroyed it. Glad this story didn't end up badly. |
Wow, lucky dude. That would be sad to see it get crunched by a stupid mistake.

Worse yet, if he killed an innocent victim through his stupidity.

There is too much horsepower out there nowadays and jerks unable to cope with so much power and drive irresponsively. Here in Switzerland, a number of accidents have occurred lately, where people driving Ferrari's with 600 hp lose control and auto-destruct. Yesterday, one hit a guardrail and caused a huge traffic jam.
A couple of months back, a jerk in a Mercedes Mclaren, hit a guard rail, losing a front wheel, undeterred he continued, overtaking a truck in a tunnel, hitting it and losing the other front wheel. He kept driving for a couple of miles, sparks flying all over the place, when he finally stopped! |
