Heilcoil or TimeSert Big Red brake line?

Anyone used TimeSert, Helicoils, etc on the fluid input line of big red fronts? I had trouble removing my brake line and extracted the stuck brake line nut with a drill and screw extractor. I chased the threads with an M10x1.0 tap but the result is that I am only catching 3 and a bit threads, rather than about 5 on the other caliper. The caliper will hold a nut at 20Nm and spec is only 12Nm, but I'm still a bit worried. Have an EZ-Lok on order (like a TimeSert) and thinking about having a machine shop put it in. The outside diameter of the insert is 14.3 mm, and the drill diameter is about 13.0 mm, though, and I'm not sure if there will be enough meat left over on one edge of the caliper. Anyone ever done it? Am I too worried about the 3 threads? Will I ever get my car on the road this summer? Inquiring minds want to know!!

Were the original threads chased with a bottoming tap - or a standard tapered tap?
The former could easily double the thread count were it not already used .... just a thought, as most tap & die sets only provide tapered taps.

Standard tapered, Garth. I've got the right number of threads, but they are a bit flat. Top two not catching.

hummm ... how about tapping to the next closest size in SAE - say 7/16"NF ,I guess .... and have a machine shop whip up an adapter to M10x1.0 in, 7/16 male out: that would preserve more 'meat' in the caliper vis a vie the helicoil /insert type route.

The machine shop put an M10x1.0 Helicoil in. Looks great. Brakes are bled - almost ready to go.
